For those who do not pack a lunch on Saturday, there are a variety of options in the Alter Hall vicinity.
First up is Liacouras Walk:
The first floor includes retailers such as Conwell Inn, PNC Bank, Saxby’s Coffee, 7-Eleven, Maxi’s Pizza, Master Work, Chop Shop, and Philadelphia Chutney.
There’s also a Qdoba a short walk away:
A Subway is just a bit further as well:
We should also have a few Temple students and alumni who will be able to direct folks who have any further questions.
There’s actually a Subway on Liacouras Walk as well. And the Temple Crepe Truck is open until 6 on Saturday at 13th & Norris. A little further of a walk but well worth it.
Don’t forget Koja Grille past the subway station beside the Bank of America. They have great Korean food there as well as an amazing bulgogi hoagie.
The Student Center also has a cafeteria with hot and cold selections, and the food trucks that park along the streets near Alter Hall have a pretty good reputation. I think that Philly Magazine gave a number of them a good rating some years ago. And Temple Hospital isn’t that far away, just in case.
Those might be true but, alas, when last we checke neither Alter nor the food trucks open on weekends for service. Alas.
